Les Goudes
A collection inspired by a trip to Les Goudes, near Marseille, on the Mediterranean.
These miniature works on paper are inspired by my stay in Les Goudes in 2025. Les Goudes is a neighborhood in Marseille that feels like a village and has retained its authentic fishing-village character. It sits on a hill that slopes down to the sea, with its small harbor and narrow streets where cars cannot pass.
The sky blends into the sea. From the village, you set off on foot into the garrigue above the calanques, along paths of white and pink pebbles. The contrasts are striking, and the scents of the sea mingle with the fragrance of the garrigue.
The horizon stretches as far as the eye can see.
And you can’t escape the wind.
